Leading their company with an emphasis on sustainability, Cartograph Wines has played a remarkable role in helping the Green Music Center sustain our efforts to provide performing arts to the communities in the North Bay. At the forefront of this incredible support comes Serena Lourie and Alan Baker, who have been in the wine industry as a duo since 2008.
In 2011, Serena and Alan pursued their shared passion for winemaking and opened their first tasting room in downtown Healdsburg. Since then, Cartograph Wines has been featured in the American Wine Story documentary, and in 2016 further expanded its impact and purchased a vineyard. Before venturing into the wine industry, both Alan and Serena had careers in other fields; Alan in in public radio and Serena in adolescent mental healthcare. Needless to say, they have been championing support for Northern California in one way or another for years.
As generous patrons of our purpose, Serena and Alan have affirmed the Green Music Center’s goals of educating and entertaining the community since the very start. With Alan’s previous career in producing and recording classical music, the performing arts have always been an integral part of their lives, and we are grateful for their generosity in both passion and resources. During our season, Cartograph co-sponsors at least three new music performances and pour their exquisite wines in our Donor Lounges – all in addition to attending shows when they can.
Through their continued encouragement and support for our purpose at the Green Music Center, Cartograph Wines’ operation of love has made it possible for us to engage and enlighten our communities through the performing arts – and for this partnership we are eternally thankful.
