In year two of the Road to 100: The Complete Beethoven Symphonies, we perform two of Beethoven’s great works. Symphony No. 2 is bright and optimistic highlighting his mastery of classical form. Symphony No. 5 is one of the most recognizable pieces of music ever composed. It’s a dramatic and powerful work full of struggle and triumph.
Performed with the orchestra in unique configurations reflecting how the symphonies, in Beethoven’s time, may have been played. Be a part of the journey to our centennial celebration in the 2027-2028 season!
