Our Spring Season of The Green Room came to a close last week with an online performance by the St. Lawrence String Quartet. Thank you for your support of the series this past year. We hope you enjoyed learning about some of the most compelling artists of our time and that you found some inspiration and connection amidst our global challenges.
We are now looking to the future as a return to in-person performances appears on the horizon. We are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment consistent with public health guidance and performing arts industry standards. Our plans and timeline will be clearer as vaccination rates go up and infection rates go down.
We are developing an exciting Summer at the Green to celebrate the return of live performances. We’re likely to start with small scale events in July and gradually build our capacity to present larger productions featuring some of your favorite artists over the course of the summer. This will allow us to thoughtfully construct a concert-going experience that will be enjoyable, while also attending to the health and safety of all attendees.
Please stay tuned! We expect to announce specific summer plans in late June and follow that up with our 2021-2022 Season later this summer. We are likely to have some individual show announcements sprinkled in as the artists begin to announce their tours that make stops at the Green. We all know how quickly things can change during the pandemic—make sure you subscribe to our email list to be among the first to hear the official summer 2021 lineup.
Thank you again for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you to the Green and celebrating the uplifting power of live performance.
Sincerely,
Jacob Yarrow
Executive Director
