One of the Green Music Center’s four strategic priorities is to use our program and platform to work toward cultural equity, placing emphasis on marginalized and underrepresented voices, and ensuring programs are relevant in our multicultural world. The Green Music Center makes intentional choices when programming artists, emphasizing opportunities to present performers who enhance the region’s access to culturally diverse programming.
This year, the Green Music Center presented revealing conversations that put the voices of people of color at the forefront. Artists like Michael Mwenso, Las Cafeteras, DDAT, and Alphabet Rockers were a part of The Green Room, reflecting on their heritage and allowing our audiences to enjoy artforms that help us learn and gain empathy. The Green Music Center is committed to continuing this important work and is grateful for your support in bringing this programming to life.
