Green Music Center volunteer usher and SSU alumnae (Biology, ’83) Patricia Webb was born in San Mateo. Patricia’s mom was a grammar school teacher, and her dad was a construction accountant. Both enjoyed ushering at Oakland’s Paramount Theater, and Patricia fondly remembers ushering at performances and her dad giving her a dollar for the Bay Bridge toll. Patricia has continued her volunteering at many locations including Oakland Paramount, Shoreline Amphitheater, SF Giants at Candlestick, SF Opera House, Orpheum Theatre, Fox Theatre, Greek Theatre, the Luther Burbank Center, and, of course, at the Green Music Center.
While at Sonoma State taking science classes, Patricia got phlebotomy experience working at the SSU Student Health Center. After graduating from SSU, she pursued a career as a phlebotomist and worked at Stanford Medical Center for 35 years. She later moved to Sonoma County to retire and now lives in Petaluma where she remains a dedicated volunteer usher. She fills her calendar ushering at several venues and appreciates keeping abreast of the performing arts across the bay area stating, “My favorite show is always the one that I am experiencing”.
Patricia is including the Green Music Center in her estate plans because she wants to advance its mission, sustain its future, and because, as she says, “It feels good”!
