Artist-in-ResidenceBeatrice Thomas

As an expansion of our engagement programs, multidisciplinary artist Beatrice Thomas will be an artist-in-residence throughout the Green Music Center’s 2026-27 season.

As the founder of Authentic Arts and Media, Beatrice’s work engages themes of cultural identity, racial justice, and queer visibility through performance, visual arts, and community-centered media. Beatrice will work with a number of SSU student organizations, faculty, and staff in addition to workshops with community partners during her time on campus. We’re excited to work closely with a regional artist to provide for multiple connection points throughout the year, allowing a deeper integration of Thomas’ work into courses and programs in many departments at SSU.
