California has a rich railroad history, so it should come to no surprise that Sooma county has its very own train amusement park. TrainTown was founded by Stanley L. Frank in 1958 and was first a table top train park; “TrainTown can best be thought of as a 10-acre elaborate table top railroad, which is outdoors and rideable; where sense of direction is lost, and best appreciated by the under sophisticated and over sophisticated.”
TrainTown is a model-accurate railroad; in addition to trains it also includes a beautiful carousel, a mine train roller coaster, and an airplane ride and even a petting zoo.
The cost for TrainTown– General admission to the park is free. For the rides, it is $9.75 per person, per ride
