REDWOOD CREDIT UNION BELIEVES in the positive impact of investing time, energy, money, and leadership to support nonprofits that make a meaningful contribution to the betterment of our communities. Last year marked the beginning of a partnership between Redwood Credit Union and Sonoma State University that supports multiple programs on campus, including the Green Music Center.
“We care deeply about engaging families in our community and are excited to support the Green Music Center’s programs, which provide critical access to the performing arts,” said Brett Martinez, President and CEO of Redwood Credit Union. “In addition, supporting first-generation college students and participating in SSU’s Alumni Association aligns well with RCU’s efforts to support education, youth, and the arts.“ Over the course of the students’ academic careers at Sonoma State, Redwood Credit Union actively assists in their financial education, empowering them to make wise financial decisions that will last a lifetime. Staying connected with Sonoma State University’s alumni once they graduate supports a continuum of advancement for alumni and economic strength in our community.
“It is evident that Redwood Credit Union is active in making our community a great place to live,” said Green Music Center Executive Director Jacob Yarrow. “Now more than ever, we appreciate their incredible three-year commitment to our efforts to bring the performing arts to Sonoma County, and we are especially proud to have had Redwood Credit Union as a sponsor of all three episodes of Michael Mwenso’s Black Music Series this fall.
