AISLES

For safety and as a courtesy to other ticketholders, please do not sit or stand in the aisles. Aisles should be kept clear at all times.

ALCOHOL BEVERAGE POLICY

The Green Music Center strictly adheres to all local and state laws regarding alcohol consumption. While alcohol may not be brought into the Green Music Center, Prelude, our fine dining restaurant offers a full bar where Sonoma County wines, a vast selection of beer and signature cocktails may be purchased. Additionally, wine and beer, along with other assorted beverages, and snacks may be purchased at various concession booths throughout the Green Music Center. The Green Music Center reserves the right to suspend bottle service at any given performance. Guests should expect to be carded for appropriate identification. The Green Music Center reserves the right to refuse service or admission to anyone. Alcohol sales will end approximately 45 minutes into the performance or following intermission. 

ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES

Assistive Listening Devices for the hearing-impaired are available at coat check in Person Lobby. Please contact the Box Office at (866) 955-6040 or email greenmusiccenter@sonoma.edu to make arrangements.

ANIMALS

Service Animals are welcomed at Weill Hall. As of March 15, 2011, only dogs are recognized as service animals under titles II and III of the ADA. In addition, the service dog must be individually trained to do work or perform tasks that are directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support no longer qualify as service animals under the ADA. ARRIVAL

Patron Arrival – The Green Music Center advises all patrons to arrive on the SSU campus with enough time to park, walk to the facility and get to their seat. For indoor only shows, it is recommended that patrons arrive 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. For summer shows, where attendance can reach over 5,000, patrons are advised to arrive on the SSU campus at least 45 minutes prior to the start time of the performance.

All bags will be subject to search at the discretion of venue management.

The GMC Box Office is open one hour prior to most performances, located in the courtyard of Weill Hall. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the SSU Student Center.

CAMERA POLICY

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY, and AUDIO RECORDING of any kind is strictly prohibited in Weill Hall and Schroeder Hall.

CHILDREN

Patrons of all ages are welcome at our venue. All patrons are expected to be considerate of other patrons in attendance, and SSU reserves the right to request any patron to leave if they are disturbing others. A disclaimer will be made in marketing materials, in the online purchase path and provided for staff on performance with adult content.

Children 2 and under do not need a ticket if they will be sitting on the lap of an adult at a performance at the Green Music Center. If the child will be sitting in its own seat, it will need a ticket. We do not offer discounted tickets for children, except for general admission lawn seats.

COAT CHECK

COAT CHECKS are available in the lobbies of Weill Hall and Schroeder Hall.

CODE OF CONDUCT

WHEN ATTENDING AN EVENT AT THE GREEN MUSIC CENTER YOU ARE REQUIRED TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • The Green Music Center hosts a variety of events and some are more suitable for children than others. Please visit the event page for ticketing policies for children as they may differ event by event.
  • Please turn off or silence all electronic devices during performances.
  • Patrons who consume alcoholic beverages must do so in a responsible manner. The Green Music Center reserves the right to deny entrance or remove anyone who appears to be intoxicated.
  • Unnecessary noise or movements during the show not only distracts your fellow audience members, but also performers. Patrons (and their children) who make such disruptions may be removed from the theater.
  • Throwing projectiles of any kind could result in immediate removal.
  • Refrain from displays of affection not appropriate in a public or family setting.
  • Fighting of any sort can result in immediate removal.
  • Refrain from wearing clothing or accessories which contain profanity, conveys membership or affiliation with street gangs or other similarly oriented group or association prone to violence, criminal acts, or hate and racially biased based beliefs.
  • Solicitations for money or seeking contributions for any purpose is not permitted.
  • Patrons shall only occupy the seat for which they possess a valid ticket and shall provide their ticket upon request.
  • Patrons shall avoid blocking the view of others. Patrons shall not block the aisles in any way.
  • Patrons shall comply with requests from venue staff regarding venue operational and emergency procedures.

DINING

Open before the performance, at intermission and after the show, Prelude Restaurant and Bar is just steps away from Weill Hall. Enjoy the indoor ambience or opt for open air seating on the lush patio.

You can also pre-order a drink for intermission. When you arrive at the Green Music Center, tell the concessions staff you would like to pre-order your drinks. They will be waiting for you at the end of the bar when you return to the lobby at intermission.

Dining offerings at the Green Music Center are expanded during the summer months in Weill Hall + Lawn. Boxed meals and small platters from San Francisco's iconic bakery, Boudin are available for pre-order; and a wide variety of on-site concessions ranging from cheese platters to sandwiches, prize-winning wines to local craft brews are available for purchase. Patrons seated on Weill Lawn are also encouraged to pack their own picnics to enjoy throughout the performance.

Situated on the campus of Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, the GMC entrance is off the Rohnert Park Expressway near the intersection of Petaluma Hill Road. INTOXICATED GUESTS

The Green Music Center has the right to refuse entry to any guest deemed intoxicated upon arrival. Any intoxicated guest causing a disturbance will be asked to leave the facility and may be subject to arrest.

LARGE PRINT PROGRAMS

Large Print Programs requests should be made with at least two week’s notice. Upon arrival, they will be available at Coat Check. All requests must be made by contacting the Box Office by phone, (866) 955-6040 or email greenmusiccenter@sonoma.edu

LAWN SEATING

Seating on the lawn in general admission and filled first come, first serve. Patrons are permitted to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. We request patrons bring low lawn chairs that sit a few inches off the ground, however, we understand this may not be feasible for all patrons and therefore do not have a height limit on chairs. All patrons are asked to be considerate of those around them and the Front of House staff reserves the right to request patrons with higher chairs to move to areas that do not obstruct the view of the hall/screen for those around them.

LOST & FOUND

LOST AND FOUND items may be claimed from the Seawolf Service Center, located on the ground floor of Salazar Hall in the center of the Sonoma State University campus. If you are seeking lost items, please call 707.664.3957 or 707.664.2308.

MEDIA ACCESS

Media credentials can be requested by contacting Kathryn Stewart. You must be an accredited member of the media on assignment to be considered.

OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGE

LIQUIDS: No outside liquids (including water, beer, wine or sodas) may be carried into the hall or onto the lawn.

FREE WATER BOTTLE FILLING STATIONS ON SITE: Patrons are encouraged to bring empty containers to be used at our free water bottle-filling stations, available at the Trione Courtyard in front of Weill Hall and at the South Restrooms.

FOOD: Patrons seated on Weill Lawn are encouraged to pack their own picnics or visit our concessions stands. You may also pre-order an elegant boxed meal, provided by San Francisco's Boudin Bakery here.

PARKING

As you enter campus from Rohnert Park Expressway, there are multiple parking lots immediately to your right. Parking in Lots L, M, N and O is included in the price of your ticket for all concerts at the Green Music Center.

PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES

  • Wheelchair accessible seating is available for Weill Hall and Lawn and may be ordered online, in person, or over the phone. Available on all three floors, wheelchair accessible seating allows patrons to remain in the comfort of their chairs while enjoying the performance. Elevator service for Weill Hall is located on the north end of Person Lobby for access to the Choral Circle and Balcony. If wheelchair assistance is needed, please contact the Box Office at your time of arrival, located on the first floor of the Music Education Hall, adjacent to the courtyard of Weill Hall.

Patrons using taxis, limo’s, Uber, Lyft or private cars may also use the drop off/pick lane in front of the Green Music Center.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is allowed and encouraged during the summer months at the Green Music Center. Any amendments to our summer photography policy will be posted at the venue for those specific events.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

For safety reasons, guests are refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items. Items are subject for review by campus police. If a guest is found inside the venue with a prohibited item, the item will be confiscated and the guest may be ejected from the facility.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED:

  • Aerosol Cans
  • Animals/Pets (except service animals)
  • Audio/Video Recording Equipment
  • Balloons, Beach Balls or Related Items
  • Chains, Studded Bracelets, etc.
  • Illegal Drugs
  • Laser Pens and Pointers
  • Noisemaking Devices (i.e. whistles, air horns)
  • Outside liquids
  • Professional Photography Equipment, Tripods, Monopods and Selfie Sticks
  • Poles/Sticks to Display Flags, Banners, etc.
  • Unapproved pamphlets, fliers, handbills, etc.
  • Weapons of any kind (i.e. pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns, etc.)

Any Other Item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by the venue in its sole discretion. This list is subject to change at any time by management. Thank you for your cooperation.

RE-ENTRY

The Green Music Center has a "No Re-Entry" policy for all summer events. Main season concert re-entry is subject to the discretion of the house manager.

RECORDING DEVICES

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY, and AUDIO RECORDING of any kind is strictly prohibited in Weill Hall and Schroeder Hall.

RECYCLING

The Green Music Center has recycle bins located throughout the venue and actively recycles plastic, aluminum and glass products. We thank you in advance for helping keep our venue clean and free of debris.

SHUTTLE

Shuttle service is provided from Lots E and F for concerts with high expected attendance, allowing for patrons to park at various locations across the SSU campus.

SMOKING

TAILGATING

Pursuant to SSU Policy 1988-4; The consumption of alcoholic beverages in an SSU parking lot or on any campus roadway is prohibited. Violators may be subject to criminal citation and fine.

TICKET POLICIES

EXCHANGES – Patrons are allowed to exchange their tickets only after single tickets are on sale. An exchange is defined as trading one performance for another, not when a patron calls to move to a different seat within the same performance. (See Exchanges & Ticket Donations for more information).

TICKET DONATIONS FROM TICKET HOLDERS – Patrons may donate tickets back to the Green Music Center. All ticket donations are due one hour prior to the performance. We recommend that patrons email ticket donations to tickets@sonoma.edu.

TICKET BROKERS

For your own security, we strongly recommend that you do not purchase tickets from any supplier other than the Sonoma State University/Green Music Center Box Office. Only tickets purchased directly from SSU/GMC Box Office can be guaranteed, and tickets purchased from any other source are done so at your own risk and may be deemed invalid.  The SSU/GMC Box Office does not replace tickets purchased through eBay, Craig’s List, StubHub, or any other secondary market.  The re-sale of tickets on the SSU campus is strictly prohibited. Violators of this policy will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Policies subject to change without notice.

WEATHER POLICY

All shows are rain or shine. If you have outside table or lawn tickets, please note that it does tend to get chilly when the sun sets each evening. We advise you to plan jackets and blankets accordingly.
