Bachgrounder lecture 35 minutes before each concert

The Sonoma Bach Choir, Live Oak Baroque Orchestra, and very special guest Anne Laver on the Brombaugh Organ will gather to share the music of George Frideric Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach. With a special focus on music written for a variety of occasions, we will feature the choruses from one of Handel’s celebrated Chandos Anthems: O Praise the Lord With One Consent (HWV 254) and a selection of Bach Cantatas that highlight our special instrumentation – with obbligato organ. Join us for a celebration of Baroque masterworks brought gallantly to life!
