¡Viva el mariachi! A new generation takes mariachi to whole new heights—2x Latin Grammy Award–nominee Mariachi Herencia de México pushes the boundaries of traditional mariachi music. Simultaneously honoring the past, celebrating the present, and creating the future of mariachi music, Mariachi Herencia de México presents an electrifying and unforgettable night of Mexican music and culture.
Mariachi Herencia de México has issued five chart-topping albums and has performed all across the North American continent paving the way for a new generation of mariachi musicians. The young, virtuosic band is composed of 14 musicians, ages 18-32, representing a new bicultural generation in the U.S.

Join us for a special pre-concert gathering, hosted at the Green Music Center. Mingle with fellow alumni and the campus community while enjoying select wines and craft brews from Latinx businesses.
Then, continue the celebration with a performance by Mariachi Herencia de México joined by Leonardo Aguilar, a new generation of artists bringing mariachi to new heights.
Tickets are $20 each and registration is required. Proceeds benefit the Heart of SSU Alumni Scholarship.
