A long-time favorite of the Green Music Center staff, Ethan Lipton & his Orchestra has been working together since 2005. The band’s music is steeped in 20th-Century American traditions—jazz, folk, country, blues and rock—but tackles modern subjects with urgency, humor, and a well of deep feeling. Lipton is a Guggenheim Fellow, Creative Capital grantee, and winner of the Kleban Prize for most promising American librettist.
