Two masterworks of the symphonic repertoire take center stage under the baton of guest conductor David Danzmayr. Experience the dramatic fire and virtuosic depth of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the brilliant Janice Carissa, followed by Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8, a jubilant celebration of nature brimming with openhearted, folk-inspired melodies. Jessie Montgomery’s contemporary work, Strum, complements the program with lively, folky dance rhythms.
