Bachgrounder lecture 35 minutes before performance

Join us as we explore the vibrant world of 18th-century music. Anne Laver, a longtime participant in our concert series, will return once again to perform on Schroeder Hall’s magnificent Brombaugh Opus 9 pipe organ, showcasing works of Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Mozart and Haydn—all musicians with ties to the organ. Anne’s recital will feature the debut performance of our Wild Rose Treble Ensemble. Featured works will include Bach’s famous Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor, highlights from Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Haydn’s Little Organ Mass. Don’t miss this exciting journey as we trace the transition from the late Baroque into the Viennese Classical period.
