Polish-American soprano Magdalena Kuźma was a Prize Winner in the Concert Artists Guild and Young Classical Artists Trust International Auditions in 2022. This season she joins the Metropolitan Opera in New York as a Lindemann Young Artist where her roles initially include Giannetta in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. Over the last year Magdalena has made her debut at Santa Fe Opera performing the role of Frasquita in Carmen, and was a fellow at Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute.

The interpretation of dreams varies across individuals. Often, they are romanticized, but sometimes lead to terror: exposing our innermost concerns and fears. Dreams exist not only in our sleep but in our conscious awareness of motivation towards goals. How do we separate reality from illusion?
