Israeli Chamber Project with Karim Sulayman

Sun, March 12, 2023 - Tickets: $35–$95

“A band of world-class soloists…in which egos dissolve and players think, breathe and play as one” (Time Out New York) is joined by Lebanese-American tenor and recent Grammy winner, Karim Sulayman in a wide-ranging program that features texts of love, peace, and the shared strength in community.

The Israeli Chamber Project, “a band of world-class soloists…in which egos dissolve and players think, breathe and play as one” (Time Out New York) joins Lebanese-American tenor and recent Grammy Award winner, Karim Sulayman (“Lucid, velvety tenor and pop-star charisma” -BBC Music Magazine) in a wide-ranging program that draws on texts of love, peace, and the shared strength in community.

The Israeli Chamber Project is a dynamic ensemble comprising strings, winds, harp, and piano, which brings together some of today’s most distinguished musicians for chamber music concerts and educational programs. Based both in Israel and in New York, the ensemble was created as a means for its members to give something back to the community where they began their musical education and to showcase Israeli culture, through its music and musicians.

Program to include quintessential American classics by Aaron Copland (Sextet) and a new arrangement of Samuel Barber’s lush portrait of the American south, Knoxville: Summer of 1915, as well as works by Harrison Birtwistle and Naji Hakim.
