Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall

The centerpiece of the Green Music Center is undoubtedly the 1,400-seat Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall, acoustically designed to rival great venues such as Boston Symphony Hall and Vienna Musikvereinssaal. It embodies the acoustical attributes of Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood; however, it surpasses its predecessor in terms of flexibility and comfort, while reducing its operating carbon footprint.

All three floors of Weill Hall are filled with handcrafted, European steamed beech maple seats, which remain acoustically neutral whether occupied or empty. Additionally, the modular rear wall of Weill Hall opens fully, extending the concert experience to an outdoor audience of approximately 5,105.
