2017: A Year In Review

Dec 19, 2017 – SONOMA COUNTY, CA

As we wrap up 2017 here at the GMC, we look back on a year highlighted by the power of artistic expression in its many forms.

We took a journey with Arlo Guthrie, danced to the beat of Che Malambo, listened to the sultry vocals of Diana Krall, let loose to the funky New Orleans sounds of Trombone Shorty, had a barefoot blue jean night with Jake Owen, and laughed until it hurt with the always hilarious Fluffy.

As the fires in Sonoma and Napa were still burning, we came together as neighbors to draw strength from the comfort of music, offering free tickets to the Miró Quartet and HUDSON. Later, we celebrated the resilience of our community with two benefit concerts: For the Love of Sonoma Fire Relief Concert featuring the Counting Crows and The Santa Rosa Symphony Fire Relief Concert.

Most recently, we rang in the holidays with a three-show-weekend of spectacular holiday performances by Windham Hill, Cherish the Ladies, and Dave Koz.

We’ve enjoyed compiling the list below (in no particular order) of GMC 'Fun Facts' for 2017. Take a look, and realize that none of this is possible without your support! Thank you!
