Sonoma County Youth Music

Each year the Green Music Center has the privilege of hosting performances by K-12 schools throughout Sonoma County. Providing a showcase to feature bright young stars ranging in grade level from Kindergarten to 12th grade is vital to promoting artistic growth in our community and beyond. This year the GMC is proud to bring you performances by a variety of ensembles from Santa Rosa City Schools, the Cotati–Rohnert Park Unified School District, Waldorf Schools and more.

The Sonoma State University Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Singers honor the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death with songs of celebration and praise by Giovanni Gabrieli, Heinrich Schütz, GF Handel, and Daniel Pinkham; settings of his texts by Thomas Morley, Matthew Harris, and George Shearing; and movements from Morten Lauridsen's stunning Lux Aeterna.
